Heavy Machinery and Realistic Tire Tracks: FS25’s Ground Deformation
When you operate heavy machinery in Farming Simulator 25, you’ll notice realistic marks left on the ground. The weight of each vehicle affects how deep the tire tracks sink into the soil. Heavier machines, like large tractors, leave particularly deep impressions, adding an extra layer of realism to the gameplay. Plowing, for example, showcases this effect beautifully, with the soil visibly deforming as the plow cuts through it. Just remember to clean off your machinery when you’re done, as the tires will likely be caked with mud after a day in the fields.
For a closer look, check out The FarmSim Guy’s video, which was part of the North America preview for Farming Simulator 25. He had a chance to play the game and provided some insightful reactions to the ground deformation effects:
In one clip, you’ll see a Case tractor with added weight on the rear, causing the back tires to sink more deeply into the ground. The tractor doesn’t just leave tracks, though; it also interacts with them afterward. As it drives over the uneven field, it bumps and jumps, accurately mimicking the experience of real-life terrain impact. This level of detail in ground deformation truly enhances the immersive experience, making fieldwork feel more authentic than ever.
