Power Up Your Fields: Spinach Coming to FS25
Spring and summer are prime time for growing spinach. In March or April, grab your seeder and sow around 10 liters of seed per hectare. If all goes well, you can expect a yield of about 23,100 liters.
With an average market price of $660 per thousand liters, you’ll be looking to harvest in June. Just remember, you’ll need the specialized OXBO MKB-4TR harvester to get the job done right.
Sow Once, Harvest Twice
If you’re looking to maximize your output, you can actually harvest spinach twice in one season. Just make sure you plant in March, then harvest promptly in June, and let it grow again for a second round. Don’t forget to use your standard yield-boosting techniques, just like with any other crop.
If you stay on top of things and follow the schedule, you’ll notice a slight difference in the growth stages during the second cycle. After the first harvest, the initial growth stage tends to be a bit bushier, which actually makes it easier to keep an eye on your spinach fields.
And don’t forget what our favorite sailor says: “You’re strong to the finish ’cause you eat your spinach.” So make sure to harvest it on time and get it sold before it wilts away!
